Privacy policy

Skuody is a party-game platform: a TV hosts the room and phones are controllers. This page explains what we collect, why, where it is kept and for how long. Operator details and the data protection contact will be added after legal review.

Playing as a guest

You don't need an account to play. Your name, avatar, colour and language stay on your phone and are shared only with the TV in the room you join, over your own Wi-Fi. Game state lives on the TV, not in our cloud.

If you sign in

If you sign in (with an email code, Google or Apple), we keep your account: email address, display name, avatar and language, your purchases and Plus status, and your scores and stats on leaderboards.

Your TV

When the TV app first goes online it registers a device ID and basic facts (model, app version, language) so it can get the game catalog and keep your room code reachable.

Usage data

TVs send anonymous gameplay events (for example "a round started") so we can fix problems and improve games. Raw events are deleted after 90 days; hourly totals after 2 years.

Contact messages

When you write to support, we keep your message, email and name to answer you. Closed tickets are deleted 2 years after the last update.

Where your data is stored

In Amazon Web Services' eu-central-1 region (Frankfurt, Germany). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

How long we keep it

  • Account data: until you delete your account. 30 days after deletion we remove your sessions, tokens, stats and your name on scores.
  • Purchase records of deleted accounts: 7 years after the last update, as required for accounting.
  • Moderation reports: 1 year.

Your choices

You can play without an account, delete your account in the app, change cookie choices on this site at any time ("Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page), and contact us through the support page.
